League of Legends (LPL/LCK) – Top DFS Stacks (4/15/20)

Time keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’ into the future. Damn no really where did the time go? It’s been tough to say the least to get used to the time change over on the East Coast but what can you do, cry about it? Well I’m not Andy from the Office and I don’t plan on going viral so no, no you can’t. Instead we can focus on tomorrow’s LOL DFS slate which includes 3 series coming out of the LPL and 3 more series coming out of the LCK. And it’s looking spicy to say the least so let’s dive into something I like to call the Top DFS Stacks.

Stack #1: RNG (-475 ML, 8-6)

Stack number one comes out of the LPL which we all know tends to lean towards heavier kill games than the LCK does. And you can actually verify this just by looking at the implied kill totals. In this game, the implied kill totals are looking like this – Map 1 = 26.5 kills, Map 2 = 26.5 Kills, Map 3 = 25.5. And if you wanted some context compared to the LCK, just know that these implied totals are higher than any game in the LCK by at least 2 kills. So, we know the fighting is going to be there but who exactly do we want to play on RNG to make up our stack?

Xiaohu = MID, $8,000 (DK), $9,100 (FD)

My favorite player to start our stack off with is Xiaohu because of his recent carry performances on champions like Corki, Lucian and Zoe. I’ll admit Xiaohu has definitely been a bit rusty this split but he is finally starting to show his true form with 33 kills over his last 2 series combined. That’s been good for 96.0 DK points per series over his last 2 and 94.01 FD points per series over the same span. Tomorrow he gets a matchup with Xiye (DMO) who also likes to play these carry-type champions which is going to mean more kills for Xiaohu as RNG looked back in form versus LNG last time out. Xiaohu is a great place to start off our RNG stack, but be advised you are going to have to pay up.

Betty = ADC, $8,000 (DK), $9,900 (FD)

The former Flash Wolves ADC finally hopped off the fasting senna and it did wonders for his DFS numbers as he dropped 100.3 DK points / 98.3 FD points in his last series vs LNG. If you don’t know what fasting senna is, it’s basically the reason why he only had 471 CS in RNG’s 3-game series vs RW while the support (Ming) had a whopping 417 CS. But don’t worry because Betty played Miss Fortune in both games last series and this resulted in him dropped a KDA of 11/0/17 which is uhhh pretty damn good. Betty and Xiaohu are great options tomorrow to build your lineup around.

The other guys:

LangX = TOP, $7,000 (DK), $8,900 (FD)

Ming = SUPPORT, $6,200 (DK), $7,900 (FD)

Stack #2: EDG (-260 ML, 8-5)

On paper this stack actually looks like one of the riskier plays but then you throw in that OMG has lost 4 of their last 6 series while EDG has won 6 of their last 8 series and you might change your mind. EDG has a legit veteran in the mid lane in Scout as he’s been a part of EDG’s roster since 2016. But the veterans don’t stop there as Meiko (support) has been the support for EDG since 2014! Team that up with player’s like Hope who was previously playing for EDG’s Youth Team and you have the perfect mix of young talent and veteran leadership. And the good news doesn’t end there as EDG has now played 2 series in a row with their actual starting top and jungle which would be Jinoo and JieJie. So far so good with the new lineup as they swept LNG 2-0 and took a game off FPX in what was a tightly contested series. OMG is going to be desperate to win tomorrow to make playoffs but honestly that just plays into EDG’s hands even more. One final thing to note though, EDG is better suited for cash lineups than GPP lineups based on the fact that the prices for EDG across the board are a bit high and the implied kill totals are the lowest in the LPL at around 23.5-24.5.

The Plays:

Scout = MID, $7,800 (DK), $9,200 (FD)

Hope = ADC, $8,400 (DK), $10,000 (FD)

Meiko = SUPPORT, $5,800 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

JieJie = JUNGLE, $7,400 (DK), $8,600 (FD)

Stack #3: IG (-450 ML, 11-2)

This is going to be my favorite stack of the entire slate mainly because of the play-styles of both of these teams which has led to the highest implied kill total of the entire slate at 30.5 kills. Yes, I just said 30.5 kills which is higher than any other game on this slate by 4 kills! I know it might not seem like a big thing, but usually we only see around 25.5-26.5 for high kill matches so to see a 30.5 implied kill total basically means this game is going to be a blood bath. And if you know anything about the LPL you know that IG is basically the top dogs and they love themselves a good team fight. You got players like TheShy, Rookie, Puff and even their jungle Leyan who all love to exert their dominance on the opposing team who just so happens to be WE who dies a whole lot when they lose. I mean just peep their last series vs eStar where they died a whopping 50 times in only 2 games. Yea that’s basically good for 25 deaths a game and versus a team like IG, who is arguably even better than eStar, that means bad things are going to happen. BAD THINGS. The best part about this stack is that it is relatively straightforward with Rookie, Leyan and Puff being the must grabs. It basically comes down to this question: Do you think TheShy will get back on track or will he continue to feed his face off? Sure he has 26 kills over his last 3 series combined but he also has 35 deaths over that same span which is what I mean when I say he is feeding his face off. IF he can dominate Morgan (WE top laner) then I believe it will be a good series for TheShy as he tends to play the rest of the game based on how his early game vs his lane opponent goes. I recommend taking a risk and betting on TheShy because when he is in top form he can be the single best player on the rift and that is no joke. Just head over to YouTube and type in “TheShy highlights” and sit back and sip your tea.

My Plays:

Rookie = MID, $8,200 (DK), $9,000 (FD)

Puff = ADC, $8,200 (DK), $10,300 (FD)

Leyan = JUNGLE, $7,200 (DK), $8,700 (FD)

TheShy = TOP, $6,600 (DK), $8,800 (FD)
