DMO looked awful out of the gate against V5. They kept committing early and getting into situations they had no business doing. This team appears to be in a similar situation as they were in the Spring Split and will continue to under achieve given the lack of talent on their roster compared to other LPL teams.
ES looked good overall in their loss against LGD. They had a great composition in Game 1 and managed to pull off the win. Surprisingly, they subbed out their TOP laner XiaoBai in Game 2 for Cjj despite going 1-0-6 on his Wukong champ. To say Cjj got rolled on is an understatement, LGD TOP LangX, demonstrated why he is one of the premier TOP players in the league. In my eyes, this killed their momentum and it wasn’t enough to overcome in Game 3 despite having XiaoBai back at the helm.
ES is the far superior team in this series and should be able to take care of business against a weak DMO team. My prediction is ES win this series 2-0

Team WE are a scrappy bunch and enjoy playing an erotic style filled with chaos and blood. This potentially leads to bad judgement calls from time to time as they demonstrated in their last match against SN. They are still a middle of the road team that should be able to get into the playoffs and make a run if they are able to steal a series or two against top tier teams.
IG will be making their Summer Split debut tonight after a very underwhelming end of the season for them. Maybe some of that carried over to the MSC because they looked completely outclassed and had a rather lackluster performance. It is difficult to predict how they come out and play tomorrow morning. Have they had enough time off to get the sour taste out of their mouths? IG has the far superior team on paper. Their stylistic approach is more based on individual team fighting that I think suits them in this matchup against a team that is overly aggressive at times.
I have to imagine they come out tonight with something to prove and start the season off with a W. My prediction is IG win this series 2-1.
