Karma Nation! We are coming off a big weekend during the Zurich Classic as we went 2-1 on bets, including hitting another out right winner in Rahm/Palmer at 16-1! This weekend we are at the Wells Fargo Championship. Quail Hollow is the host course located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Course Preview:

The Par 71 Quail Hollow is a longer track measuring over 7,500 yards and more suited for the bombers and those that can hit long irons into firm greens. The course has tree lined fairways, but with the rough being overseeded with Rye grass it will be much easier to play out of as long as you have a shot at the green. All three of the Par 3s are all over 200 yards and the average score on each played over par last year. You must be able to score on the 3 reachable Par 5s as they all played nearly a third stroke under par last year. Hole #15 is the easiest hole on the course with one of the toughest 3 hole stretches closing the round out. Players will be just trying to play ‘The Green Mile’ at even par as there will be trouble and many double bogeys made here. Last year seen 40 double bogeys made at the 17th hole making anyone near the cut line vulnerable.

The Bets:

Tony Finau -145 vs Phil Mickelson

Tony Finau comes in off a Top 5 finish at the Masters gaining 10.1 strokes total. He’s a bomber off the tee which will be much needed here. He has made the cut everytime he has teed it up here finishing in the top 30 his last 3 starts here. Finau is averaging +4.8 SG total over his last 5 events and is ready to break through and win a event soon! He plays really well on tough tracks averaging +1.1 Strokes gained on difficult courses. When looking at both golfers odds to finish inside the top 20 Finau odds are +100 compared to Phil’s +137 which makes me like Tony even more here. This is Mickelson’s last event before the next major meaning he usually uses this event more to practice on certain parts of his game.

The Play- Tony Finau -145 1 unit

The Play- Tony Finau Top 20 +100 1 unit

Byeong-Hun An -130 vs Aaron Wise

Byeong-Hun An had a rough finish to the RBC hitting drives out of bounds late friday missing the cut. He still ranked 8th in SG off the tee during the first two days. Over the last 12 rounds played An is 4th in Strokes gained total. He is 2nd in both Ball Striking and SG tee to green. He ranks in the top 5 in SG off the tee and approach as well. He has just been brutal on the greens losing strokes putting in his last 7 events. He has putted his best on Bermuda only losing .3 strokes he has 2 top 10 finishes in his last 4 events. Wise is coming off a good showing at the Masters, but has missed the cut in 4 of his last 7 events.

The Play- Byeong-Hun An -130 1 unit

Sung-Jae Im +120 vs Charles Howell III

Both of these golfers come in missing the cut at the RBC. In Howell’s last 3 visits here he has finished 21,MC,38th. Howell has been shaky off the tee of late ranking just 49th in SG OTT. Approach is a key stat I’m looking at this week and Howell is ranking 79th. Sung-Jae Im has been up at the top of the leader boards having 3 top 10s and a top 20 in 4 of his last 6 events played. He is 2nd overall in strokes gained total in the last 12 rounds. He is an all around good player ranking in the top 20 in T2G, Ball striking, short game, approach and putting.

The Play- Sung-Jae Im +120 1 unit

Bonus Play- Rory McIlroy -160 over Jason Day 1 unit

Keith Mitchell T20 +350 1 unit
