Cleveland Cavaliers vs Washington Wizards -9.5
Tonight the 11-43 Cavaliers head up to D.C. to take on the 22-32 wizards. Both teams come into tonights game having lost their previous games. The Wizards are looking to break their 3 game losing streak. The Wizards have been on a downhill slide losing 5 of their last 6 games being outscored by 11.8 ppg in the defeats. They lost to the Hawks by 8 in their last home game. These two teams just met back on the 29th of January, with the Cavs winning by 3 in Cleveland as an 8.5 pt home underdog. The Cavs only shot 45% from the free-throw line, but out rebounded the Wizards 48-36 in the contest. The Cavs come into tonights game just 2-3 in there last 5 games, but they have covered the spread in 4 of the 5. They played a good game vs the Celtics at home on Tuesday, but lost to them by 7 but still covered the spread. Cleveland does a good job of spreading the ball around having 4 players averaging double digit points and 2 others with 8+ ppg. Washington will play 3 games in the next 4 days and could possibly be overlooking the 11 win Cavaliers and they travel to Chicago tomorrow to play the Bulls. They have lost 3 of there last 4 home games. Looking at Washington’s top 5 scorers from last season we see Bradley Beal is the only one active right now. John Wall is out for year, Otto Porter was traded, Kelly Oubre was Traded, Markieff Morris was Traded. There has been a lot going on in Washington this week with the trades and Wall new injury that came up, their heads might not fully be in the game tonight as they have 2 new additions making their debuts. Tonight the Cavs should be able to stick around in this game to at least make it interesting and 9.5 points is too many points for this Wizards team to be laying anyone as they are in this slump.
