Utah Jazz (Front End of B2B)
Derrick Favors – P
Favors should be monitored on the front end of a B2B. Good chance he rests tomorrow. I like the Jazz a lot tonight in this matchup. Pace up spot, Mitchell and Gobert are in fantastic spots for a nice price tag.
Brooklyn Nets
Kevin Durant – O
Kevin Durant will be out for the next 4 games for the Nets. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Taurean Prince will look to take on increased roles with Durant out. We could see some smaller lineups with Jeff Green. Jared Allen’s minutes have been great, he has been significantly outplaying Deandre Jordan. Burying the lead a bit, Kyrie Irving and Caris Levert are fantastic plays tonight. Kyrie in particular is difficult to get away from on this slate.
Los Angeles Lakers
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LeBron James – Q
We will continue to monitor this situation. Lebron is likely to play and will come in a 1-2% just like he has the last two slates. Lebron at this ownership is a great tournament play. If KCP can’t go, Talen Horton Tucker and Kyle Kuzma look to take on those minutes.
Memphis Grizzlies
John Konchar – O
Konchar being out has a little bit more significance than most will think. Konchar has had a pretty hefty ball-handling role with Morant out. We should see Tyus Jones continue to play a heavy part in replacing Morant’s production.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Josh Okogie – O
The Timberwolves are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA right now. They have no rim protection with Towns out. Okogie out if the icing on the cake, they need his defense back. Jared Culver is an interesting play with Okogie out.
Denver Nuggets
Michael Porter Jr. – OUT
MPJ is out once again. We have seen Murray really take over the last two contests, he is in play in the mid-range today. Nikola Jokic needs to be mentioned every day, he is a triple-double threat every single night.
San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs will be without Derrick White indefinitely. Lonnie Walker looks to have his role secure but has been underwhelming to start the year. I do believe Dejounte Murray is someone we need to continue to be invested in, he is going to be a superstar.
Los Angeles Clippers (Front End of B2B)
Marcus Morris – O
Kawhi Leonard – Monitor for rest
This Kawhi situation may be one that surprises some people today. I think we need to at least be ready for the possibility. The Clippers are on the front end of a B2B and have a National TV spot tomorrow. If the Clippers are interested in resting Kawhi, while also following the NBA protocol of not sitting players on National TV, he could sit today. If Kawhi was to sit, Luke Kennard and Paul George would become fantastic plays.
Chicago Bulls (Front End of B2B)
Lauri Markkanen – O
With Lauri out, we have seen the Bulls’ frontcourt rotations be pretty ugly. I refuse to touch Thad Young today, if he beats me then he beats me.
Portland Trail Blazers
Clean injury report for the Blazers today. They have the potential to break the slate versus the Bulls who can’t play defense if their life depended on it. Robert Covington has a nice price on both sites.
