NBA DFS – Spikes GPP Plays (11/21/21)

Another wonderful Sunday here and we have a small 4 game slate ahead of us.  I personally like these types of slates because you can eat the chalk and still get different with a couple of guys and set yourself up for a takedown.  There is quite a bit of injury news we are waiting on and that could very well change the entire slate.  That being said, my favorite game stack right now is The Toronto Raptors vs The Golden State Warriors.  This one should be fast-paced and could be high-scoring as well.  Let’s dive into some of my favorite tournament plays!

Point Guard

Fred VanVleet has had a very interesting start to his season. Seeing very mixed results and at times underperforming.  Tonight, he gets a tough matchup against Golden State but I think he can find success.  Most of the defensive attention will be Draymond Green on Pascal Siakam which should open up FVV to take a lot of shots.  If his shot is falling his upside is massive!  He can easily add a ton of peripheral stats as well.  Other players I am looking at here tonight are Cade Cunningham, Lonzo Ball, and Chris Paul.

Shooting Guard

Andrew Wiggins is coming off a very productive game (27 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a block).  His price was significantly raised to $7300 which should keep his ownership pretty low.  That and the fact Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are healthy.  He gets a great matchup against the Raptors who have struggled against guards this season.  It will take his shot falling again to hit value but I think he is worth taking the shot on here with such a small slate ahead of us.  I am also interested in Will Barton, Zach Lavine, and Mikal Bridges.

Small Forward

It’s very hard to ignore the consistent minutes that Alec Burks has been getting over the last six games (25,27,22,25,29,21).  He has also been producing over a FP a minute. The matchup isn’t super ideal against the Chicago Bulls but with a solidified 20+ minutes here, I am more than willing to play him at only $4300.  If the Knicks starting five continue to struggle, he could see even more playing time.  Other players I am interested in are Gary Trent Jr, Talen Horton Tucker (If Lebron James is ruled out), and Saddiq Bey.

Power Forward

All year long I have been very high on Julius Randle, tonight feels like the night he can break the slate.  His shot hasn’t fallen yet but when it does his upside is truly massive.  He double-doubled last game and has the potential to triple-double as well.  The Chicago bulls defense isn’t something that scares me and they aren’t very good defending against power forwards either.  Other players I am interested in here are Derozan Demar, Jerami Grant, and Aaron Gordon.

Center

Center is tough tonight as there is injury news we are waiting on with Nikola Jokic.  If he is ruled in, I want tons of shares of this guy tonight.  He has triple-double upside every night.  Nobody on the Phoenix Suns is going to be able to stop him not to mention he is the heart of the offense in Denver. With the chance he is ruled out, you could plug in Julius Randle here with his position eligibility.  I also want to mention that Draymond Green is a sneaky play here as well. Fairly cheap at $6600 on DK and comes with upside with his peripherals. Others I am intrigued by are Nerlens Noel and Isaiah Stewart.
