NBA DFS – Spike’s GPP Plays (10/31/21)

We have a small 4 game slate tonight, and most of the better plays are going to be chalky. That being said, I believe there are many ways to get different for tournaments.  My favorite game on the slate is Milwaukee vs the Jazz as it should stay close throughout the entire game, and Utah is only favored by 2 points.

Point Guard

Damien Lillard gets a relatively tough matchup against the Hornets tonight and really hasn’t been playing well recently. He’s averaging 19 points and 7 assists per game. That being said, his ceiling game is coming, and I have a feeling that is tonight. I project his ownership to stay low given all of the other guards in better spots tonight, making him a great GPP play. Others I am interested in are Jalen Green, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook.

Shooting Guard

Jordan Clarkson is having a good start to the season, and I expect that to continue/get better as we go. He gets a great matchup tonight against the Bucks, and he’s Aseraging 25 FPs per game but mostly just from scoring. I think his peripherals could see a bump sooner rather than later. Other players I am targeting here are Bruce Brown, Josh Jackson, and Donovan Mitchell.

Small Forward

There’s a lot of top-tier players to choose from here today. That being said, I really like Miles Bridges.  Terry Rozier being probable will take away from his usage a little bit, but he’s averaging nearly 26 points, 8 rebounds, and roughly 35 minutes.  At $7400, he can easily pay off his price tag and has a ton of upside. Other players I am interested in are Norman Powell, Jordan Nwora, and Khris Middleton.

Power Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the obvious play here, and rightfully so with his ability and upside. Jerami Grant is a player that really sticks out to me here. Consistently playing 30-35 minutes and the fact that Brooklyn is awful against bigs is very appealing. This team runs through him, and with Cade Cunningham finally playing it should only help him out more. He can very easily double-double here. Other players I’m interested in are Bobby Portis and Lebron James (questionable).

Center

Christian Wood and Jusuf Nurkic stand out for me here with the former being slightly more appealing. The offense clearly runs through him, and the Lakers are atrocious on defense in general. Averaging nearly 20 points and 11 rebounds with block upside per game is just a no-brainer for me. Nurkic should come in a little less owned, though, and also has a smash matchup. At $800 less on DK, you can easily use it elsewhere to get up to another stud. Other players I’m targeting are Alperen Sengun and Rudy Gobert.

As always, good luck to all tonight! Most of these are strictly GPP plays. Last but not least, let’s have fun with this slate!
