Welcome to another edition of Bales’ Top GPP plays. In this article, I will outline my favorite NBA GPP plays for today’s games. There are only a pair of games on this slate, limiting the number of plays in this article. The Karma staff will be discussing options in our Discord while posting cores tonight, as well. This help can be found in our NBA Premium Package.
Robert Williams
Williams has seen a mixed role throughout the NBA season, including in the bubble. He’s coming off of a 24.75 fantasy point performance in 19 minutes in the first game of this series. Williams has only played more than 13 minutes once in his last 4 games, though. With that being said, he needed only 19 minutes to post an 18/5/2/3/1 line (35.25 fantasy points) against the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the bubble.
Williams gets a matchup against the Toronto Raptors, who he has played well against in limited minutes this season. Through only 2 matchups, he’s averaging 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal (17.8 fantasy points) in 13.0 minutes per game. He saw 19 minutes in the first game of this series and is expected to find similar minutes tonight. Williams is a player that can contribute in each of the five categories. He has flashed tremendous upside in limited minutes throughout his career, and that may be the case again tonight. There are only two games, so you’re going to have to get weird if you want a player that is lower owned. Williams certainly comes with risk, but the reward for a near minimum price tag is there.
SuperDraft
Kemba Walker (1.45x)
Walker has played 32+ minutes in each of his last 3 games. In those contests, he’s averaging 24.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.3 steals in 34.3 minutes per game. Walker is a player that comes with nearly as much upside as anyone on this slate. He struggled with limited minutes early in the bubble but looks fully healthy for Boston’s playoffs run.
Walker gets a matchup against the Toronto Raptors, who feature one of the better defenses in the NBA. With that being said, Walker is averaging 21.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.0 steal (36.5 fantasy points) in 32.3 minutes per game. He’s expected to find minutes in the mid- to high-30s if this game stays close. There are a number of high upside guards on this slate, but Walker gets a 1.45x multiplier, making him arguably the best GPP option on SuperDraft.
