Welcome to another edition of Bales’ Top GPP plays. In this article, I will outline my favorite NBA GPP plays for today’s games. There are only a pair of games on this slate, limiting the number of plays in this article. The Karma staff will be discussing options in our Discord while posting cores tonight, as well. This help can be found in our NBA Premium Package.
Ivica Zubac
Zubac has been struggling a bit recently. He’s averaging 10.8 points and 6.0 rebounds (20.9 fantasy points) in 22.6 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Zubac flashed in the first game of this series, though, scoring 29.5 fantasy points in only 22 minutes. The Los Angeles Clippers defense has been significantly more successful with Zubac on the floor in this series, recently playing him for 30 minutes in a Game 3 win, although he only scored 24.5 fantasy points in that game.
Zubac gets a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks once again tonight. Dallas ranked 18th in the bubble in pace and 21st in defensive rating in the play-in games. Zubac has found plenty of success against Los Angeles this season, as well, averaging 12.0 points and 7.9 rebounds (24.5 fantasy points) in only 21.5 minutes per game. He’s currently expected to see minutes in the low- to mid-20s tonight. With that being said, he adds an element of defense that can help slow Luka Doncic down, suggesting he could play 30 minutes once again. Regardless, Zubac comes with more than enough upside to exceed value at his current price tag, even in limited minutes.
SuperDraft
Jordan Clarkson (1.75x)
Clarkson has been playing at an extremely high level, even after the return of Mike Conley. He’s averaging 19.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 29.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Regardless of whether Clarkson is starting or not, he’s a focal point of the Utah Jazz offense. He’s averaging 15.0 shot attempts, 7.8 three-point attempts, and 2.0 free throw attempts per game in this series.
Clarkson gets a matchup against the Denver Nuggets tonight. In the play-in games, Denver ranked last in pace and defensive rating. On the season, Clarkson is averaging 21.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 28.2 minutes per game against the Nuggets. He’s expected to play minutes in the high-20s tonight. He gets a 1.75x multiplier on SuperDraft and his elite scoring potential makes him an outstanding tournament option.
