Bigs
James Wiseman
Wiseman’s seen plenty of ups and downs throughout his rookie season. He’s averaging 11.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks (23.0 fantasy points) in only 20.6 minutes per game through 14 contests. Wiseman’s seen his role grow in recent games, though, playing 25+ minutes in 3 of his last 4 contests. He’s averaging 29.5 fantasy points per game in those 3 games, flashing 30+ fantasy point upside.
Wiseman gets a surprisingly difficult matchup against the New York Knicks, who rank last in the NBA in pace and seventh in defensive efficiency. His usage rating has fluctuated quite a bit throughout the season, although it generally sits between 22-25%. With that being said, it’s increased to 30%+ in multiple games, although somewhat of limited minutes. Wiseman’s averaging 1.12 fantasy points per minute this season, and he’s expected to find minutes in the mid-20s tonight. He’s still far too cheap for his upside, even in a difficult matchup. Wiseman will certainly garner some ownership with only three games tonight, but it’s likely to be far too low in tournaments.
