Mo Bamba
Bamba’s performed well in limited minutes for the Orlando Magic this season. He’s averaging 6.1 points and 4.3 rebounds, (14.5 fantasy points) in only 11.6 minutes per game through 29 contests. Bamba has seen his role grow recently, as he’s averaging 21.6 fantasy points in 16.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored 20+ fantasy points in 4 of his last 6 games, including 37 fantasy points in 25 minutes against the Washington Wizards and 30.75 fantasy points in only 17 minutes against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Bamba gets a good matchup against the Indiana Pacers tonight. They rank seventh in the NBA in pace and 11th in defensive efficiency this season. Indiana’s struggled quite a bit against centers this season, as well. Bamba’s usage rating has been sitting around 25% in recent games. He’s a double-double threat with block upside, as well. Bamba is playing all of the backup center minutes behind Wendell Carter. Generally, that will give him minutes in the high teens, although he could find 20-25 minutes if the game gets out of hand. Bamba’s a player that can easily exceed value at his current price in 17-19 minutes, and it finally looks as if he’s breaking out for the Magic. He’s a boom or bust option that will go overlooked on this slate, and he’s a solid tournament play tonight.
