Welcome to another edition of Bales’ Top GPP play. In this article, I will outline my favorite NBA GPP play for today’s games. If you want all of my core plays along with our staff’s Final Thoughts article and access to our Discord, click here.
Kyle Anderson
Anderson’s looked outstanding for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. He’s averaging 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 steals (28.8 fantasy points) in only 27.0 minutes per game through 46 contests. Anderson’s also averaging 31.7 fantasy points in only 25.1 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Although his minutes have been inconsistent, he’s scored 30+ fantasy points in each of his last 4 games, including a pair of games with 40+ fantasy points).
Anderson gets a solid matchup against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. They rank 25th in the NBA in pace and 19th in defensive efficiency this season. Atlanta’s found success against forwards throughout the season, although Anderson posted 45.5 fantasy points in his only matchup against them. He isn’t a high usage player, as it generally sits in the teens, although it’s been sitting around 20% in recent games. Anderson’s expected to play roughly 30 minutes tonight, and he’s a player that can contribute in multiple categories. His price tag doesn’t match his recent production, and he should find success in this matchup once again. Anderson’s a player that generally goes overlooked, and I anticipate that to be the case on a larger slate tonight.
