Darius Garland
Garland’s seen mixed results throughout the season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s averaging 17.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.3 steals, (32.6 fantasy points) in 33.5 minutes per game through 52 contests. Garland’s caught fire in recent games, averaging 42.7 fantasy points in 35.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored 45+ fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games, including a 50 fantasy point performance against the Orlando Magic.
Garland gets a great matchup against the Washington Wizards tonight. They lead the NBA in pace while ranking 20th in defensive efficiency. Washington’s also struggled against opposing point guards throughout the season. Garland recently posted 47.5 fantasy points against them. His usage rating has increased with Collin Sexton out in recent games. Garland could see another 30% or better usage rating if Sexton is out again tonight. Regardless, Garland’s expected to play minutes in the mid-30s. He’ll make a significantly better option if Sexton is out, but he can be considered in tournaments even if Sexton returns from injury tonight.
