Saddiq Bey
Bey has performed well throughout his rookie season for the Detroit Pistons. He’s averaging 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, (21.1 fantasy points) in 25.5 minutes per game through 60 contests. Bey’s played bigger minutes recently, as he’s averaging 23.9 fantasy points in 29.1 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored 25+ fantasy points in 7 of his last 10 games, including a 38.25 fantasy point performance against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Bey gets a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. They rank 25th in the NBA in pace and 17th in defensive efficiency. Surprisingly, Dallas has performed well against opposing small forwards throughout the season. Bey’s usage rating fluctuates from game to game, as it’s dipped as low as 12% and skyrocketed as high as 30% in recent games. Still, he’s a versatile option that will continue to be featured in a solid offensive role on a nightly basis. Bey’s expected to play 30+ minutes tonight, although his minutes have been inconsistent in recent games. He’s far too cheap for his potential in full minutes, though. This is a smaller slate, but Bey makes an outstanding tournament option.
