Patrick Williams
Williams has seen mixed results throughout his rookie season for the Chicago Bulls. He’s averaging 9.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, (20.2 fantasy points) in 28.2 minutes per game through 57 contests. Williams has been struggling a bit lately, averaging only 18.9 fantasy points in 27.1 minutes per game over the last 10 days. With that being said, he’s posted 20+ fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 games, and he’s a cheap option that boasts 30+ fantasy point upside.
Williams gets a great matchup against the Charlotte Hornets tonight. They rank 15th in the NBA in pace and 17th in defensive efficiency this season. Charlotte’s also features a bottom-five defense in the league against both forward positions. Williams isn’t a high usage player, as his usage rating has dipped into the single-digits in recent games. It has the potential to hit as high as 20%, though, as well. He’s a versatile option that’s expected to play roughly 30 minutes tonight. Williams is a young player that can take advantage of a great matchup tonight. He isn’t an overly safe player, but he makes a great tournament option with only six games tonight.
