PJ Washington
Washington has seen mixed results for the Charlotte Hornets this season. Through 49 games, he’s averaging 11.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.0 steal, (28.4 fantasy points) in 29.3 minutes per game. Washington’s been playing better in recent games, averaging 33.6 fantasy points in 29.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored 34+ fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games, including a 45 fantasy point performance against the Portland Blazers.
Washington gets a tough matchup against the New York Knicks tonight. They rank 27th in the NBA in pace and third in defensive efficiency this season. New York’s also performed well against opposing bigs throughout the season. With that being said, Washington’s price tag is currently representative of his recent injuries rather than his production. His usage rating fluctuates quite a bit, but it’s expected to sit around 20% tonight. He’s also expected to find 30+ minutes tonight. It’s a small slate, limiting potential options. Washington comes with tremendous upside for an absurdly low price tag, and it won’t be long before he’s priced well over $6,000.
