Montrezl Harrell
Harrell has performed well in his first season for the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s averaging 15.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists, (28 fantasy points) in only 25.2 minutes per game. Harrell’s caught fire recently, as well, averaging 34.6 fantasy points in 29.6 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored 40+ fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 games, as well, including a 44 fantasy point performance in only 30 minutes against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Harrell gets an elite matchup against the Sacramento Kings on this slate. They rank ninth in the NBA in pace and last in defensive efficiency. Sacramento also features one of the worst defenses in the NBA against opposing centers. In their only matchup this season, Harrell posted 45 fantasy points in 32.5 minutes. I’m not necessarily expecting him to see quite that many minutes again, although high-20s look likely with Andre Drummond injured. Harrell also quietly boasts a usage rating in the mid-20%, and that’s expected to continue tonight. He’s a double-double threat that will benefit from the pace and lack of defense in this contest. It’s a bit surprising he’s going overlooked at the moment, but he’s a mid-priced option at a loaded position.
