OG Anunoby
Anunoby’s found solid success for the Toronto Raptors this season. Through 29 games, he’s averaging 14.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.7 steals (30 fantasy points) in 33.3 minutes per game. Anunoby’s caught fire recently, as well, averaging 36.5 fantasy points in 33.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s posted 33+ fantasy points in each of his last 5 games, including a 41 fantasy point performance against the Denver Nuggets.
Anunoby gets an interesting matchup against a young Oklahoma City Thunder team tonight. They rank 10th in the NBA in pace and 14th in defensive efficiency this season. Oklahoma City’s seen mixed results against forwards this season, specifically struggling against power forwards. Anunoby isn’t a high usage player at this point in his career, although he’s posted a usage rating over 20% in 4 of his last 5 games, including a trio north of 26%. He’s a player that can contribute in multiple categories, and he’s expected to play minutes in the mid-30s tonight. Anunoby is quietly progressing as a player without much notice, and it’s unlikely he’s going to stay this cheap for long. He’s projecting to go overlooked because of the size of the slate, though.
