Jae Crowder
Crowder has seen mixed results throughout his first season with the Phoenix Suns. He’s averaging 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists (22.5 fantasy points) in 27.5 minutes per game through 42 contests. Crowder’s also averaging 23.3 fantasy points in 29.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored 20+ fantasy points in 8 of his last 10 games, including a 28.25 fantasy point performance against the Orlando Magic.
Crowder gets an interesting matchup against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. They rank 22nd in the NBA in pace and 23rd in defensive efficiency this season. Atlanta’s found success against opposing forwards this season, although they’ve struggled at times with scoring forwards. Crowder isn’t a high usage option, as his usage rating generally sits in the teens. He has the ability to contribute in multiple categories, although he relies heavily on scoring to hit his ceiling. Crowder’s played 30+ minutes in each of his last 2 games, and that could be the case again tonight. There are only four games, making it a tough slate on value. In this particular matchup, Crowder could flash his ceiling, especially at home, where he’s averaging 4.8 more fantasy points per game.
