Ja Morant
Morant has been enjoying a solid season so far. Through 32 games, he’s averaging 19.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 7.5 assists (36.3 fantasy points) in 31.3 minutes per game. Morant’s struggled in recent games, though, averaging only 30.7 fantasy points in 34.1 minutes per game over the last 10 days. With that being said, he’s coming off of a 48.25 fantasy point performance against the Boston Celtics.
Morant gets an interesting matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. They rank 14th in the NBA in pace and 12th in defensive efficiency this season. Oklahoma City’s also seen mixed results against opposing point guards this season. Morant’s usage rating tends to sit around 30%, and that’s expected to be the case tonight. He’s also expected to find minutes in the mid-30s in this game. Morant’s recent struggles and price tag will keep his ownership low tonight. With so much potential trade talk today, the chalk route will be stars and scrubs, which seems to be the case every night. Morant is a great pivot off of that strategy tonight.
