Jamal Murray
Murray’s been overshadowed by Nikola Jokic’s potential MVP season. Through 40 games, the former’s averaging 21.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.3 steals (36.6 fantasy points) in 35.2 minutes per game. Murray’s averaging 34.4 fantasy points in 35 minutes per game since the All-Star Break. With that being said, he’s posted 35+ fantasy points in each of his last 4 games, including 40.25 and 51.5 fantasy point performances.
Murray gets a quietly elite matchup against the Orlando Magic tonight. They rank 19th in the NBA in pace and 20th in defensive efficiency this season. Orlando’s also giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, according to Fantasy Pros. Murray’s usage rating generally fluctuates on a nightly basis, although it’s projected to sit in the mid-20% tonight. When his shot is on, it can jump over 30%, as well. Murray’s also expected to find minutes in the mid-30s tonight. There are several elite expensive options tonight, and the middle price range is likely to go overlooked. Murray boasts elite upside in this matchup for his price tag, and he’s an elite tournament option tonight.
