Montrezl Harrell
Harrell’s looked outstanding on a per-minute basis for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Through 39 games, he’s averaging 14.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists (26.4 fantasy points) in 24.2 minutes per game. Harrell’s performed well since the All-Star Break, as well, averaging 36.9 fantasy points in 28.4 minutes per game since then. Overall, he posted 39.75, 34, and 45 fantasy points in his last 3 games.
Harrell gets an elite matchup against the Minnesota Wolves tonight. They rank fourth in the NBA in pace and 25th in defensive efficiency this season. Minnesota’s also allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers, according to Fantasy Pros. Harrell’s taken on a much larger offensive role with Anthony Davis out. He’s posted a usage rating north of 30% in 2 of his last 3 games, although it tends to fluctuate quite a bit on a nightly basis. Harrell’s also been locked into major minutes with Davis and Marc Gasol out, and he’s expected to see 30+ minutes once again tonight. He should be well-rested after playing only 25 minutes in a blowout win last night, as well. Even with his recent success, Harrell could go overlooked in favor of cheaper options, such as Moses Brown or Tony Bradley at his position. It makes him an elite tournament option tonight.
