Naz Reid
Reid’s found plenty of success for the Minnesota Wolves this season. Through 21 games, he’s averaging 12.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.3 blocks (25.2 fantasy points) in only 22.4 minutes per game. Reid’s played 27 minutes in each of his last 3 games, averaging 34 fantasy points per game in those contests. He’s also scored 30+ fantasy points in each of his last 7 healthy games, including a 44.25 fantasy point performance against the Golden State Warriors.
Reid gets a great matchup against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. Dallas currently ranks 18th in the NBA in pace and 27th in defensive efficiency this season. The Mavs are also allowing the third-most fantasy point per game to opposing centers, per Fantasy Pros. Reid’s usage rating fluctuates on a nightly basis, as it sat at 11% against the San Antonio Spurs before jumping to nearly 41% in his last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is a matchup he can take advantage of, and he’ll continue to find minutes in the high-20s or low-30s with Karl-Anthony Towns doubtful to play. Reid’s a double-double threat, who boasts tremendous upside for his price tag. There are a few chalky options at center tonight, leaving Reid to go overlooked in a great spot.
