Juan Toscano-Anderson
Toscano-Anderson’s performed relatively well in limited minutes this season. Through only 9 games, he’s averaging 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists (15.4 fantasy points) in 18.2 minutes per game. Throughout his young career, Toscano-Anderson is averaging 10.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 block on a per 36 minutes basis. He’s played 40 and 27 minutes in his last 2 games, as well, scoring 35.5 and 25.5 fantasy points.
Toscano-Anderson gets a plus matchup against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. Dallas ranks 23rd in the NBA in pace and 26th in defensive efficiency this season. The Mavs have struggled against power forwards throughout the season, as well. Toscano-Anderson is expected to play 30+ minutes with James Wiseman, Kevon Looney, and Marquese Chriss injured. Eric Paschall is also questionable tonight, and Toscano-Anderson could find close to 40 minutes again if Paschall can’t suit up. Toscano-Anderson doesn’t come with a high usage rating, but his versatility gives him an outstanding ceiling when he gets the minutes. With the Oklahoma City Thunder and Brooklyn Nets value on this slate, Toscano-Anderson could go overlooked. He’s an elite tournament pivot for a low price tag, though.
