Justise Winslow
Winslow only played in 11 games last season, finding success in a key role. He averaged 11.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 32 minutes per game. Winslow returned from a devastating injury in his last game, posting 9 points with 7 rebounds and 1 steal (19.25 fantasy points) in only 21 minutes. He shot only 3-14 from the field, though, suggesting he comes with elite upside if his shot is falling.
Winslow gets a plus matchup against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. They currently rank 19th in the NBA in pace and 27th in defensive efficiency this season. With a number of players out for rest, Winslow took over the offense, posting a usage rating north of 30% when on the court. That isn’t expected to continue, though, as it’s more likely to sit around 20% with a healthy Memphis roster. With that being said, Dillon Brooks has already been ruled out, opening up more shots for Winslow and company. He’s expected to play 20-25 minutes once again as he continues to return from injury. Winslow comes with plenty of risks due to rust and injury concerns, although he’s still near the minimum price tag on this slate. If his shot is falling, he boasts the ceiling to easily beat his price tag.
