Clint Capela
Capela’s seen mixed results, generally depending on minutes, throughout the season. Through 25 games, he’s averaging 14.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 2.2 blocks (39.6 fantasy points) in 29.2 minutes per game. Capela’s averaging 1.31 fantasy points per minute over the last 10 days, although he’s averaging only 27.5 minutes per game. With that being said, he’s scored 43+ fantasy points while playing 28+ minutes in each of his last 3 contests.
Capela gets a solid matchup against the Boston Celtics. They currently rank 24th in the NBA in pace and 14th in defensive efficiency. Boston’s struggled against opposing centers at times this season, and Capela posted 43.25 fantasy points in 32.4 minutes in their only matchup this season. He’s expected to find 30+ minutes in a close game for the third consecutive contest. Capela’s usage rating fluctuates quite a bit, sitting around 25% in his last game against Boston. He boasts massive double-double potential with elite upside for blocks on a nightly basis. There are plenty of outstanding options at center on this slate with Willy Hernangomez likely garnering the majority of the ownership. That makes Capela an elite tournament option.
