Building Blocks
CJ McCollum
Brandon Ingram was just ruled out which should make CJ one of the chalkier plays of the night. With a matchup against Portland who gives up 27.5 PPG and 7.5 APG it is easy to see why. CJ should see an uptick in usage and more opportunities with the ball. McCollum is only 7.5k on DraftKings and we have him porjected for nearly 42 fantasy points. This is a solid spot on a short slate that is viable across all tpyes of contests!
Josh Giddey
SGA has been ruled out of back to backs for the remainder of the season (tanking). The Thunder get a matchup against the Spurs and lets be honest, both these teams are in rebuild/tank mode. It’s a small slate and this game should garner some attention as both defenses have been pretty mediocre all year long. Giddey sees one of gthe bigger usage bumps without SGA on the court. The Spurs are giving up 25 PPG and 5.6 RPG along with 5.6 APG to shooting guards. Giddey has seen mixed results this year against them but the one game without SGA he had 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 14 points and 2 steals. That was pretty much a floor game for him and tonight should be much better.
Note: Still waiting on some injury news that has yet to drop so stay tuned in the discord channels to get updated on it!
Value Plays
Naji Marshall
With Ingram ruled out, Marshall should be the biggest beneficiary of his absence. At a mere 3.9k price tag we have him projected to get 27 fantasy points. Just from that alone we get around 7.5x for value. Expect him to be upwards of 80% owned for good reason on such a small slate. In the majority of the games he has started for Ingram he usually lights up the stat sheet. Portland gives up a lot of points all over so he should get his and then some. At the same time, this game should stay competitve!
