Guard
Kyle Lowry/Norm Powell- Even after a nice break, the Raptors are set to suit up tonight without Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Malachi Flynn, Patrick McCaw and OG Anunoby. By taking those players off the floor, we have well over 100 minutes of sample size and it’s clear that both Lowry and Powell are the team leaders in usage rate, with over 1.1 fantasy points per minute as well. I expect some of the Raptors suplementary pieces to be chalky tonight due to how thin the team is, but don’t forget about these two at the top. I actually kind of prefer Powell if he is going to be lower owned as well. He has been dynamic offensively when called upon this season, and is over $1,000 cheaper with multi-position eligibility.
Forward
Tobias Harris- FanDuel completely ignored the Sixers injury news, and left virtually the whole team under-priced with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons out due to health protocols. While we will be building around a few of them there, on DK, one 76er I’m intending to lock in is Harris. He will be one of the few in charge of handling the offensive workload without Simmons and Embiid on the floor, and should have free range to shoot as much as he wants. He’s played 152 minutes this season without those two on the court and it has resulted in a 30% usage rate and over 1.2 fantasy points per minute. He will be one of the highest-owned players on the slate for good reason.
Center
Kelly Olynyk- Olynyk is another player that benefits from someone being out, with Bam Adebayo unavailable for Miami tonight. We saw this situation right before the All-Star Break, resulting in a 45 DK point outing from Kelly O. I’m not expecting that type of game from him tonight — he shot 7-8 from the floor and 4-5 from deep. That being said, it was promising that Olynyk started at the five and Precious Achiuwa played mainly as his backup. We are projecting around 30 minutes from him tonight and that makes him one of the top values on the slate, especially on DK where you can roster multiple center’s.
