Point Guard
I’m going to stick with the same format I used yesterday, only because I think we have an extremely chalky slate for it being 10 games. The Wizards, Thunder and Lakers injury situations have left us with glaring value, thus making the top plays fairly obvious. We have three very strong PG plays in Russell Westbrook, Lonzo Ball and Tomas Satoranksy. Westy/Lonzo would be my cash game pairing on FanDuel, and you can mix in others in GPPs.
My Pool
1. Russell Westbrook
2. Lonzo Ball
3. Tomas Satoranksy
4. Derrick Rose
5. Jamal Murray
Shooting Guard
Like point guard, shooting guard is extremely straightforward given some of the injury situations. Bradley Beal and Dennis Schroder are close to cash game locks for me, while you can differentiate in tournaments.
My Pool
1. Brad Beal
2. Dennis Schroder
3. Josh Hart
4. Luka Doncic
5. Jrue Holiday
Small Forward
With no LeBron James, Giannis or Paul George on this slate, it profiles as a spend-down position to prioritize Russ in cash games. Spending up here would be the GPP route, with Brandon Ingram and Kawhi Leonard sticking out as a particularly interesting options.
My Pool
1. Trevor Ariza
2. Jeff Green
3. Kawhi Leonard
4. Brandon Ingram
5. Danilo Gallinari
Power Forward
Anthony Davis is right beside Russell Westrbook as the top spend-ups on this slate, and given FanDuel’s low score drop scoring I see no reason you can’t fit both of them in your cash game lineup.
My Pool
1. Anthony Davis
2. Kyle Kuzma
3. Pascal Siakam
4. John Collins
5. Tobias Harris
Center
Center can go either way on Friday night, with some strong stud options and a few cheap options. I would probably side with value for cash games on FanDuel, but I don’t hate attempting to get up to Karl-Anthony Towns against the fast-paced Hawks.
My Pool
1. Karl-Anthony Towns
2. Boban Marjanovic (If starting)
3. Ian Mahinmi (FanDuel punt)
4. Steven Adams
5. Hassan Whiteside
