NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Friday night…
Players Listed As Questionable
We are awarded a massive 11 game NBA slate tonight, with tons of injuries to dive into already. I’ve highlighted most of the big ones below, but obviously this is not every injury on the slate. The overall goal of this article is for you to quickly identify some of the bigger spots and already know what to do in the instance that they are ruled out. There are several players out tonight that have been out for extended time, such as Anthony Davis and Devin Booker. More news will certainly pop up throughout the day, and that will be dissected in my building blocks article, Final Thoughts and in Discord.
Darius Garland
This is major news on this slate because the Cavs have already listed out Donovan Mitchell due to rest. If both he and Garland miss tonight then we would get some extreme value with guys like Raul Neto opening up. I believe Caris LeVert is a strong play regardless, but would be a lock if both the guards miss. This is the biggest news on the slate 100%.
Jerami Grant
Other starters get rate boosts, while whoever starts in his place between Watford and Eubanks would enter the value conversation.
Kawhi Leonard (Doubtful) + Paul George
I’m assuming George will play after barely playing last night but who honestly knows at this point. Mann will start for Kawhi while guys like Norm Powell get a huge boost if both were ruled out. I think PG will likely play, though.
Gordon Hayward (Doubtful)
Jalen McDaniels will start once again, but isn’t quite as strong of a value play as he was on Wednesday.
Already Ruled Out
Joel Embiid
Embiid has already been ruled out, making James Harden one of the top plays on the slate. Harden averages 1.5 fantasy points per minute with no Embiid and leads the team in usage rate as well. It also boosts Tyrese Maxey who is supposed to see increased minutes tonight. Expect PJ Tucker and Montrezl Harrell to take over Embiid’s minutes. Tobias Harris is in play on DraftKings, but a very strong option on FanDuel in his absence.
Zion Williamson + Brandon Ingram
These two remain out. CJ McCollum gets a huge boost offensively while Naji Marshall is one of the top mid-tier plays.
Brad Beal
Major boosts to Kuzma and Porzingis and we will likely see Corey Kispert start again. I think both Kuzma/Porzingis are very strong GPP options.
Devin Vassell
Obviously a big bump for Keldon Johnson has he dominates the offense. Early ownership projections have him as one of the highest-owned players on tonight’s slate making him a strong cash game consideration.
Aleksej Pokusevski
Could see Kenrich Williams come into play as value, because the Thunder will also be without Jaylin Williams tonight.
There are always more players listed as Q to play, but these are most of the bigger name ones (for now). I’ll always be in Discord to break down later injury news / any questions you have. You can get access to the Free channels by clicking here.
