Recap of Last Night
I completely blew it last night pivoting off what would have been an incredible lineup when I saw rumors that Payton Pritchard wouldn’t be starting. I also got burned by Delon Wright, someone who I didn’t want to play to begin with. Despite all of that, I put up 247.5 DK points which was less than 20 points off the cash line. Had I made a sharper swap off of Richaun Holmes heading into the night cap I may have salvaged cash games even with the complete dud of Wright. Always trust your research!

Guard
Kyrie Irving- Everyone knows I’m the leader of the Kyrie fan club, so it’s no surprise to find him leading off this article. It also won’t be a surprise when he comes in at over 60% ownership tonight due to the absence of Kevin Durant. He’s already posted monster numbers: 30% usage rate, 1.4 DK points per minute, so far this season. Taking a 30% usage rate player out of the lineup alongside him is obviously going to increase the chances that he posts better rates than that tonight. He got as high as a 35% usage rate without Durant and Spencer Dinwiddie on the floor pre-bubble. This is an island game for the Nets, and I expect Steve Nash to give him all of the run he can handle. If I was playing 150 lineups tonight, I would likely lock him into all of them.
Forward
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot- We’ll stick with the Nets at the F position, and look for some value in TLC. I will even go as far as saying that the Nets Forward’s as a unit can be considered in cash games. We’ve already seen TLC chalk night once this season, and he responded by smashing his price tag for 30 DK points. It’s important to remember that Irving was also out in addition to Durant in that contest. That being said, TLC should start and see 30 minutes of action which is tough to beat at his punt price. You can easily pivot to Taurean Prince, or even Jeff Green in tournaments.
Center
Nikola Jokic- We’ll finish off with another stud, and someone that I feel is a must in optimal builds alongside Kyrie tonight. Joker has been doing his best Russell Westbrook impersonation this season, with triple doubles in four of six games. He’s also second in the entire NBA in potential assists per game (18.8) behind only Westbrook himself. We’ve never seen Jokic take over in an alpha role quite like this, and his 1,7 DK point per minute rate is too enticing to fade. He should be priced above $11,000, so as long as we are getting him below that I’m considering him a value up top.
