With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…
Building Blocks
Spencer Dinwiddie
I absolutely love the spot for Dinwiddie tonight, and he correlates well with my early build rosters since I will likely be rostering multiple Washington players tonight. He went completely off the last time he faced his former team, dropping 33 real points in 38 minutes. His minutes have been up as of late, topping 35+ in three of four games with the outlier being a 31 minute game in a blowout loss to the Heat. Christian Wood is still out for the Mavs, with Dinwiddie seeing a 3% usage rate increase with him sidelined…the highest number on the team. His PPG also rises the most of any starter with Wood out, and I can certainly see 15+ shot attempts coming tonight. He’s priced as if Wood is playing in my opinion, and he’s one of my favorite mid-tier plays on Tuesday’s slate.
TJ McConnell
McConnell has been feasting for the Pacers with Tyrese Haliburton out topping 50+ fantasy points in two of his last four games. He also could get an even bigger boost with Andrew Nembhard listed questionable to play tonight. He’s averaging over 1.1 fantasy points per minute without Haliburton and is once again projecting as a top value at his price. He should catch a heavy ownership number tonight, but it’s hard to avoid him in cash games on any site.
Value Plays
Deni Avdija
Deni is one of the most underrated players in the NBA in my opinion, and he’s one of the top rated value plays tonight. He’s shown fantasy point per minute ability as recently as a few weeks ago, and he should see increased minutes tonight against the Mavericks. Kristaps Porzingis is out, and Rui Hachimura is no longer on the team resulting in a 30+ minute projection for Avdija — up from his season average of 25 minutes. It’s a good match-up, and he is affordable on both sites.

The great thing about OwnersBox is the super-flex format and it allows for some really unique builds without having to force certain positions into your lineups.
Cam Johnson
I love this spot for Cam Johnson tonight, and he should be one of the higher-owned options in his price tier. He draws basically the nut match-up, Charlotte is bad defensively and plays very fast. They’re also on the tail-end of a back-to-back so the Suns should be able to get pretty loose offensively here. Devin Booker, Cam Payne and Landry Shamet are all still out for Phoenix while DeAndre Ayton is doubtful to play. Johnson sees a near 3% usage rate spike with these guys off the floor and should push for big minutes tonight. Despite just returning from injury, he posted 29 minutes in their last game and he could easily log over 30 tonight. Our projections love him for both DFS and props.
