Welcome to Bales’ Stacks and Hidden Gems for today’s NBA DFS slate for DraftKings! Below, I will discuss my favorite NBA DFS plays for tonight’s slate!
Easy Breezy: Chalk Stack
Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Wolves rank 24th and fourth in the NBA in pace, respectively. Indiana also ranks 14th in the league in offensive rating, while Minnesota ranks 15th in defensive rating. The Pacers are -7.5 point favorites in a game set at 216.5 points, giving them an implied team total of 112 points.
Malcolm Brogdon
Malcolm Brogdon has looked outstanding since returning from injury. In 2 games, he’s averaging 21.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists (41.6 DK points) in 32.1 minutes per game. Brogdon was able to score 37 and 46.25 DK points in those contests. He’s a player that comes with quiet triple-double potential. Brogdon is also averaging 1.20 DK points per minute through 29 games this season. He’s expected to find minutes in the low- to mid-30s tonight. He’s far too cheap for his consistency and upside, and he should be one of the highest owned options on this slate.
T.J. Warren
T.J. Warren is another player that is far too cheap on this slate. He has played 30+ minutes in each of his last 3 games. In those contests, he’s averaging 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals (28.7 DK points) in 32.7 minutes per game. Warren was able to score 25+ DK points in each of those games, as well. He also recently flashed elite upside, scoring 50.25 DK points in 34 minutes against the Charlotte Hornets. Warren will find minutes in the mid-30s in this elite matchup, and he’s an outstanding option in cash games tonight.
Domantas Sabonis
Domantas Sabonis won’t feature as much ownership as Brogdon or Warren, but he’s the final part of this stack. He’s averaging 21.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists (49.3 DK points) in 35.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Sabonis has also scored 50+ DK points in 3 of his last 4 games. Furthermore, he has scored 47+ DK points in 6 of his last 7 games, while flashing near 60 DK point upside. He’s coming off of a 58.25 DK point performance against Minnesota, and should find plenty of success in this matchup tonight. He can be used in all leagues on this slate.

Important Odds: Vegas Stack
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs and Atlanta Hawks currently rank 12th and sixth in the NBA in pace this season. San Antonio also ranks ninth in the NBA in offensive rating, while Atlanta ranks 26th in defensive rating. The Spurs are -8.5 point favorites in a game set at 229.5 points, and they boast one of the highest implied team totals on the slate at 119 points.
Derrick White
Derrick White isn’t locked into big minutes, but he has still found success recently. He’s averaging 10.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.4 blocks (20.3 DK points) in 21.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. White has scored 18+ DK points in 8 of his last 10 games, while flashing 30 DK point upside. He’s expected to find minutes in the low- to mid-20s tonight. White isn’t an overly dominant option, but he comes with a solid floor/ceiling combination for his price tag.
DeMar DeRozan
DeMar DeRozan is one of the most mispriced players on the slate. He’s averaging 29.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.2 steals (47.8 DK points) in 34.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. DeRozan has scored 37+ DK points in each of his last 9 games, while flashing 60+ DK point upside. He’ll be locked into big minutes tonight, and posted 41.5 DK points in his only matchup against Atlanta this season. DeRozan is one of the safest options on this slate.
LaMarcus Aldridge
LaMarcus Aldridge has cooled off a bit recently. He’s averaging 14.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists (28.9 DK points) in 33.1 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Still, Aldridge boasts 50+ DK point upside, and his recent string of games don’t diminish his upside. Aldridge is also averaging 1.19 DK points per minute at home, where he has been at his best this season.
Wildcard GPP: Low Owned Stack
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder rank 22nd in the NBA in pace, while the Miami Heat rank 26th in the league in the same category. Oklahoma City also ranks 19th in the NBA in pace, while Miami ranks 14th in defensive rating. The Thunder are -1.5 point favorites in a game set at 216 points, and they possess an implied team total of 108.8 points.
Chris Paul
Chris Paul continues to find success. He’s averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.2 steals (38.2 DK points) in 32.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Paul has scored 36+ DK points in 8 of his last 10 games, while also flashing 50+ DK point upside. He’s a player that quietly boasts triple-double potential, and Paul makes an outstanding option tonight.
Danilo Gallinari
Danilo Gallinari is another player that has found plenty of success recently. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 23.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists (37.3 DK points) in 30.3 minutes per game. He has scored 32+ DK points in each of his last 6 games. Gallinari also boasts 50 DK point upside, making him an outstanding option.
Steven Adams
Excluding Steven Adams most recent game in which he played only 7 minutes because of injury, he has scored 29+ DK points in 8 consecutive games. He has also posted 40+ DK points in 4 of those games, while flashing 50 DK point upside. Adams is expected to see 30+ minutes tonight, but he’s surprisingly cheap. Even in a tough matchup against Miami, Adams is a must start in an Oklahoma City stack.
Hidden Gem: Value Guard
Josh Okogie
Josh Okogie has been performing well recently. He’s averaging 6.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 block, and 2.2 steals (20.7 DK points) in 23.3 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Okogie has seen inconsistent minutes recently, but he has posted 20+ DK points in 5 of his last 8 games, including 3 of his last 4 contests. He also scored 40.25 DK points in a recent game against the Houston Rockets.
Okogie gets a tough matchup against the Indiana Pacers. They rank 24th in the NBA in pace and eighth in defensive rating. Okogie is tentative expected to play minutes in the high-20s tonight, although he’ll lose value if Karl-Anthony Towns is able to return to the court. The former isn’t likely to break the slate, but he’s a solid salary relief option tonight.
Hidden Gem: Value Big
Rudy Gay
Rudy Gay has seen plenty of ups and downs throughout the 2019 season. He’s averaging 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists (21.1 DK points) in 22.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Gay has scored 20+ DK points in 7 of his last 10 games. He also flashed 40+ DK points over that span.
Gay gets a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, which has already been outlined above. He’s expected to play minutes in the low-20s tonight. Gay has flashed tremendous upside in limited minutes, and he’s an outstanding salary relief option in tournaments on this slate.
