NBA DFS 1/12/20- Sriracha’s Building Blocks

The Core

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi will be locked in all my lineups today with Paul George out. He’s the #1 option and will have to play well to keep the Clippers in it. I love the spot and Denver is missing Millsap. Kawhi should get whatever he wants tonight and will only have to share the usage with Lou and Harrell.

Terry Rozier

Rozier is my lock of the day along with Kawhi. Rozier has been playing soooo well after the New Year. He’s had 5 straight 23+ Point games, and gets PHX today. I love his price and his consistency. Lock and load!

HM: JOHN COLLINS

Value Plays-

Jarrett Allen-

JA will have a great chance to have another nice game- ATL struggles inside and JA is finally taking DJ’s minutes again. I think it’ll be a nice play on DK to pair with Kawhi and Rozier.

Brandon Goodwin

Goodwin will pick up a ton of minutes with Trae out. I like his game and he’s a quick shifty guard that has a good package for scoring. I’m not confident that he’ll get over 25 minutes with Coach Pierce but it’s encouraging that he is starting.

Alex Len

Alex’s minutes aren’t enticing because of the inconsistency but with Bruno Fernando out again, they will be easier to predict. He will receive 22-26 minutes again today in a very juicy matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, who are not great inside. Alex lives off of feeding inside against the 2nd unit. He has a high upside in this matchup and might go low owned tonight as well. He is cheap across all sites and should be able to reach his price point easily which he has done this season vs the Nets already.

Tournament Plays

Alec Burks

This play might not come as appetizing as others today but this high paced match up seems juicy. Last time against Memphis, the Warriors had all of their key players in including D’Angelo and Draymond.. today they will have the same thing. It’s almost the exact same situation because the Warriors will be without Damion Lee as he is still working out his contract with the higher ups. This is a great spot for him seeing that he won’t have to create his own shot anymore. Though Russell being back limits his upside, he will have easier looks to capitalize on compared to last game where he shot 3/17.

DeMar DeRozan

DeMar is going to be going against his old team the Raptors IN Toronto and we all remember how that all played out. He was hurt, angry, sad, and shows that every time he plays against this team. He has been going off recently and has taken been the offensive power house that the Spurs need. He is really involved in the offense and even almost recorded a triple double last game vs the Grizzlies. He has an ability to accumulate peripheral stats while maintaining his contribution to the offense. He isn’t just shooting from the field, but he is taking it to the hole and getting fouled as well. My only concern is that the Raps might trap him but I don’t see that happening too much today since they have to worry about Aldridge as well.
