What’s up everyone! The amount of support we received lately has been insane, we’re so glad to be apart of Karma Nation. Let’s get into today’s slate!
The Core
Kyle Kuzma-
Kuz will get the biggest bump if Anthony Davis is ruled out, but already has a huge bump with LeBron out. He’s pricier on DK relative to FD, but I love his production in the minutes he’ll get tonight. He’ll likely fire up 20+ shots like last night as well. If AD out= KUZ locked in all formats. In the case that AD plays, Kuz is still a lock for cash games but his ceiling is drastically lower.
Derrick Rose-
Rose has been having a phenomenal season with Griffin hurt for majority of it, and the Pistons severely shorthanded night in and night out. This leaves Rose with a 30+ usage rate every night. He faces the Bulls tonight and is a bit priced up on both sites but I’m loving his production as of late. I think that we can confidently lock him in for 5x.
Tournament Plays
Al Horford
Embiid went through with surgery for his dislocated finger and he will expected to be evaluated in two weeks. This opens up so much usage for all 76ers, but most importantly Al. Al takes over the C position with Embiid out, allowing him with more REB% and AST%. He can easily hit his salary value on all sites and receives a good match-up vs the Mavericks who are without their big presence down low KP. He is still receiving the same amount of minutes which can trick people, but everyone has to know that Al is getting the ball so much more with Embiid out. He makes up for a great mid-range play with high upside.
Jerami Grant
I believe Grant will not be as high owned as I originally thought coming into today, just because of the Lebron news.. but he is still a decent value play today that will not be looked at as much. Without Millsap, he averages around 30 minutes and over 20 fp. He is the man in line to start without Millsap and he is already ruled out today. He usually accumulates blocks and steals to up his ceiling and with 30 minutes he should easily see 20 fp against a really weak interior team in Cleveland. Believe it or not, even with K.Love and T.Thompson, the Cavs are not great inside.
Bruce Brown Jr.
Bruce got inserted into the starting lineup last game and had a 50 fdp game. He gets Chicago today and is splitting PG duties with Rose while playing SG as well. His upside is super nice but he has games where he just isn’t involved. High upside low floor play!
Value Plays
Josh Hart
Hart has been the main beneficiary of Jrue Holiday being out the last couple of games, with a production of almost 30 fp in both games. Boston isn’t that great at guarding guards at the moment, and have been struggling as of late. Though the Pelicans are on a b2b, they should still see high minute totals and with Redick out, an even more of a bump in usage should go around. Hart will most definitely be able to hit 30+ minutes barring a blowout, which should give him ample amounts of time to hit value. He is a great rebounder and Hayes hasn’t had too many huge rebounding games (until recently). Favors on the other hand, used to corral a lot of rebounds (but he is out tonight) that should be going to the entire Pelican team.
Jaxson Hayes
This is pretty much a given with the Pelicans being without Favors tonight b/c of a hamstring issue. They will also be without Jrue Holiday and JJ Redick is doubtful. This opens up many minutes for other players such as Hart, Ball, NAW, but Hayes will be a very easy plug n play. When he received big minutes in the past, it was never hard for him to hit over 20fp. He is priced at that point tonight and has a huge opportunity to hit his ceiling. This will be a tougher match-up in Boston but I see no issue with Hayes getting his own tonight. He also comes with high block upside which allows him to reach his ceiling quiet easier. He isn’t super dependent on blocks, because of his ability to score and rebound.
