Welcome back DFS grinders to another edition of my WNBA Props article. It’s Friday so we have an amazing 3 game slate worth of action tonight. We are waiting for some injury news that will influence some props and I doubt we hear anything on it until right before the game. ARTICLE RECAP: PERFECT
Arike Ogunbolwale OVER fantasy Prop: Her prop was set at 23 and she ended up with 30.9 as she led the Wings to a huge victory over the Suns.
Theresa Plaisance UNDER fantasy prop: Her prop was set at 26.5 I said I had her projected between 21 and 22 and she ended up with 21.7.
Favorite Plays
Monkey Knife Fight
Theresa Plaiance UNDER 28.5 fantasy prop: I might just keep on having to play this prop again and again until I miss. She is projected just way too high again for how much she plays and produces, especially with Harrison back. She has played less than 20 minutes in the past two games and would need about a 1.5 FPPM to produce this mark. Her highest mark was 1.3 FPPM and that was without Johnson and Harrison while accumulating 4 B/S. On the season she has 131.6 fantasy points on 134 minutes play which would get her to .98 FPPM. We would need 30 minutes from her in an average matchup which she is in to get there. I have her projected at 18 minutes and 20 fantasy points her.
Tierra McCowan UNDER 26.5 fantasy points: She burned me last game by going over but that just means she has a higher projected prop because MKF recency bias over projects players for WNBA Props. If we hear Achonwa is getting the start this will become my favoite play on the board, but just like Plaiance Prizepicks was smart to stay away from her.
Natasha Howard OVER 39.5: I’m adding this in as a little bonus play. We got her last night at 39 on Prizepicks but MKF never adjusted their lines so I thought I would add this in. The Sky and Storm have already played twice this year and Howard has gone over 40 twice and that was with a healthy squad. Now their second highest scorer Loyd is out and Howard will be asked to pick up the slack even more. With Canada out these previous two game Howard averaged 43.25 fantasy points during that stretch with both games here going over 40. All stats point to a 40+ point fantasy game here.
Prizepicks
Natalie Achonwa OVER 21.9 fantasy prop: She looks to be getting back to full minutes and that’s great news because her prop is so low. She saw 26 minutes last game against Minnesota so I have no doubt in my mind she won’t see similar minutes. PHX is the worst rebounding team in the league with only a 46.3% rebounding %. Since June 2nd (When she started playing more)she is averaging 6.7 rebounds per game with a 13.2 rebounding %(10th), is first in FG% and is averaging 28 fantasy points per game. This is the perfect spot to get her at a nice discount before she gets back up next game. Both teams play at a bottom half pace but are both bottom half in defensive rating, which is perfect for efficient players like Achonwa. I have her projected a 24.
