Welcome back to another edition of my WNBA props article. We just have one game today so let’s dive into the game and see if we can find a some good WNBA props to build around for tonight’s game.
Injury News
It’s early so we don’t have all the injury news but this is what we know so far.
Jessica Shepard: She tote he ACL last game against the Sparks. Just as she was getting her minutes up in an amazing game she ends up with a devastating injury and I hope she has a full recovery.
Bria Hartley: After a great showing against the Aces she is now overseas. With hartley gone this opens the door for the Revenge narrative for Wright, she isn’t on prop sites but she is a great punt play for single game tonight.
Rebecca Allen: Fractured Hand is out for tonight’s game.
Karima Christmas-Kelly: She has missed the previous 2 games for personal reasons, we have to wait and see if she’s playing tonight.
Favorite Play
155 game total with the Lynx as 3 point favorites.
Amanda Zahui UNDER 23.5: This is more of a PrizePicks specific play. She is 21.5 on MKF which I don’t mind, but I’d much rather get her at 23.5 if I’m going under. She hasn’t had a ton of success this season outside of two games, both times she reached 6+ blocks and steals. This matchup is nothing special so as long as we don’t get screwed by another ceiling blocks game she should stay under.
Kia Nurse OVER 19 fantasy points: There’s not a ton on the board I like today but she is sticking out to me. With hartley not apart of the team Nurse will get the increase usage and minutes. As well as Charles being in a tough matchup Nurse will be leaned on more today then most games. Seeing double digit points in all but one game this season and 8+ shots in all games she should be in store for a nice game in a nice matchup for the guard position.
It’s a Trap!
Tina Charles 34.5 fantasy points(MKF): At first glance just game log watching she appears to have gone over in every game but 1. So this makes it a tough under for me but she is in a difficult matchup. We saw Natasha Howard struggle in this matchup too posting her two worst scoring outputs of the season. Fowles is one of the best defensive Bigs in this league and she has been showcasing her talents all year on the defensive end. I’ll take the under on PrizePicks for 36 but that’s the low end of where I’ll take the under.
Dantas 24 fantasy points: You might be thinking “she’s been so bad why wouldn’t I pound the under?” Well this is a tricky play. Dantas has been playing bad of recent but she has the perfect bounce back spot here. Her minutes died down last game as Shepard started playing much better and stealing minutes. With Shepard hurt she will have no one to steal her minutes as they are thin at Forward and will need to play full minutes as they will have a handful with the Liberty front court. She left in the middle of the game with what looked like an injury but later return and finished the game. With a 1-9 shooting day she is due for regression to the mean and with showing her ceiling already this year she makes for a great GPP play in Showdown. It’s great if you got the under on her at 27 but at 24 I’m not touching her and I might actually be leaning over.
