What’s Up Karma Nation! We had another successful day to start out week 2! We have another great slate of games tonight and we have the NBA back so it should be a great night to sit at home and watch some basketball.
Draftkings Lineups Recap
Cash Lineup: 165

I made the mistake of switching from Blake Dietrick to Kia Nurse after I heard she was playing normal minutes last night. It cost me hitting the cash line in double ups and min cashing in the $222 slam Dunk. Plus, the early foul trouble for Billings didn’t help, with her fantasy points and the score of the game.
GPP Lineup: 186.5
S. Ionescu, B. Dietrick, A. Wilson, B. Griner, A. McCoughtry, J. Young
I was able to secure 10th in the $222 Slam dunk for $400. If the Aces game didn’t blowout or Jackie Young could do anything or Angel McCoughtry could have played more than 15 minutes, I would have gotten 2nd place and $3000, I missed 2nd by 7 points. Oh well, it’s a new day, with no $222 Slam Dunk I will test my luck on the $180 Windmill.
Guards
Top Tier
DeWanna Bonner: Bonner has been spectacular this year, DFS wise and in real life. Both Bonner and Thomas rank top 2 in points and minutes played. Which is why they are both two of the best plays on every slate. AT continues to go over looked but Bonner is there every slate at 60%+ ownership. Now that Draftkings has given her a little respect and raised her salary to $10.7k, we should see far less ownership than usual on her. I will still be locking her and AT into every cash lineup until they are above $11k. The Sun just don’t have the depth to take them off the court, which is why they have started 0-2. Fatigue sets in leading to blown games in the 4th quarter. Both AT and Bonner missed key layups at the end of the game to cause me to miss my Sun +3 bet. Even though they get tired late in the game they dominate enough early on to pay off their salary every slate. Don’t overthink it, play Bonner in cash.

Middle Tier
Kahleeh Copper: This is my lock of the day; IF SHE STARTS. I am going to force her into my lineups. She is looking like the best player on the Sky this year. With Deshields limited with an injury, Copper has really stepped into a huge role for the sky. With Vandersloot happy to dish the ball and rack up assists without caring about scoring and Quig playing a Klay Thompson role where she just feeds off of Sloot assists, Copper is able to handle a huge work load and has completely embraced it. She is getting more comfortable with each game taking more and more of a usage role. First game she played 23 minutes and really did mostly scoring, dropping 18 points on 43% shooting. Last game she played 29 minutes scoring 21 points on 62.5% shooting and 9 rebounds! Copper will continue to progress and even will play late in the game over Quig because of her defense or Quig’s lack of defense. Copper will probably be $8000+ after this slate so take advantage while you still can!
GPP Pivot: Jasmine Thomas
FD Cheap Tier
Since Draftkings is getting salary correct and their aren’t really any cheap cash plays anymore I’m changing the cheap tier to Fanduel.
Natisha Hiedeman: She has been recovering from the aftermaths of Covid and trying to get her conditioning back up. I don’t love the play in cash but if you are forced to pay down at guard, she is who you want. Hiedeman was able to bump her minutes up from 11 to 21. This caused her to double her points. See the trend? Doubling the minutes led to doubling the points. She should have another shot to see 15+ and maybe even 20 fantasy points tonight. At only $3400 she is definitely in play to fit the studs.

Forwards
Top Tier
Alyssa Thomas: I mentioned her in Bonner’s write up, but I’ll touch on it again. AT and Bonner continue to get a ton of minutes and basically play every second of the game. I will continue to plug them into my cash line until they are priced over $11k. It’s not always about efficiency but they will get you a ton of minutes. Minutes equals fantasy production with this type of usage.
GPP Pivot: Breanna Stewart
Middle Tier
Gabby Williams: With Dolson out again look for Williams to have another big game. Parker is an interesting play again but she will be matched up with Fowles, so you want to look the PFs for the Sky. You get a discount with her compared to Stevens on Draftkings. She got a huge boast from steals last game which I don’t expect again but look for another potential 25-30 fantasy point game, which is perfect for cash.

Azura Stevens: Fanduel doesn’t want to give Stevens the respect she deserves so we will continue to play her. With Dolson out last game she got even more run and usage. She will continue to be a plug and play until she is over $5000.
