Welcome back DFS grinders to another addition of my Prizepicks Palooza article. We have a great game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Toronto. I doubt Toronto wants to take the chance at a game 7 Milwaukee so they are going to leave it all out on the line tonight.
Plays of the Day
There are a couple studs I like but I’m going to take a stand with a couple role players and have some fun with it.
Nicola Mirotic UNDER 16.8 fantasy points: He was close to being on my trap list and I might be falling for the trap. He just hasn’t been able to find his shot this series same with a lot of this Bucks team and there is no reason to have him on the floor if he can’t shoot. He is shooting 34% from the field and just awful from the 3 at 19% which is the lowest 5 game stretch of his career and he has barely had any games below 20% and now he’s averaging that. There is just no reason to have him out there if he’s not bringing to the table his scoring off the bench and that was the reason he didn’t touch the floor in the second half of game 5. With Brogdan looking fully healthy the minutes have gone way down for Mirotic in the first game on the bench since starting game 2 against Boston. Minutes are the key to fantasy points and with a drop in minutes comes a drop in fantasy points.
Pascal Siakam UNDER 35.5 fantasy points: Siakam has been held in check pretty much all series except for random spikes in mainly rebounding with Giannis off the floor. He has 2 games over these fantasy points; last game where had a huge ceiling game with 13 rebounds and 4 B/S finishing with 43.6 fantasy points, then the double overtime thriller where he had 48.7 fantasy points, but when you take away 10 minutes of OT you end up with 36.3 fantasy points where you take away 4 points 2 rebounds and 2 B/S. Both of these games we have seen a trend of huge rebounding numbers from him. Now let’s dive a little further into the reason we saw these huge rebounding numbers on a team that evenly distributes there rebounds. He had 5 rebounds in the first quarter with all coming with a combination of Giannis on the bench or all 3 other rebounds (Gasol, Kawhi, and Lowry) on the bench. The rest of the game he has 1 or maybe 2 a quarter like all other games. Now let’s look at last game; where he had 8 rebounds in one quarter. Giannis sits for 2 minutes of the whole second quarter and Siakam ends up with 4 rebounds during this time. Then he goes back to his 1 or maybe 2 a quarter after that. I know this seems like an under Siakam rebounds section which partially it is (Take the under on 6.5 rebounds on MKF), but rebounds equals ceiling fantasy numbers which I just don’t see him getting.
Trap of the Day
Kyle Lowry 34.5 fantasy prop: I have added him as an under the past two games and he has burned me so I’m just going to add him into the trap plays because I’m still not convinced of his over, even though he has been playing well. He is the reason that they have won the past two games. If they win tonight it’s because Lowry played well.
