Welcome back DFS grinders! Let me just start off by saying welcome welcome if you are new to the article and Karma. If you are a Showdown Throwdown reader or you are coming back from last year I thank you for the continued support it means a lot to me.
We have early season NBA so always start slow with your Bankroll don’t go all-in on the first week because rotations aren’t always known with every team. You can compare it to preseason and coach talk but it doesn’t always translate until we know for certain. If you play $100 per prop I would tone it down to $50 just for the first week. That being said let’s get right into it.
Favorite Play
Favorite play is 1-2 this season. I like to be transparent with my picks yes we are on a cold streak but it’s early in the season and the plays will get easier as we move through the season. Drummond barely missed and he missed by 0.1 on MKF which was even more tilting. This is why we start slow and work our way up to higher buy-ins next week. We pick up on everyone’s tendencies and rotations. That is when we strike and take all their money.
Bradley Beal OVER 47.0 fantasy points: Just like Drummond I’m going right back to his over. Yeah, Drummond didn’t work out but Beal is coming off what was a floor showing and still was able to get 47 points. He should be up at 52 if his shot was falling so we are getting at a discount. I’m a wizards fan so I watched the whole game he had 3 missed wide-open lay-ins 3 3s just rim out and a couple more open shots just not fall he could have had 60+ points. With no Wall and no other stars on the team, Beal continues to have a huge usage rate and saw a 31% usage rate with the starters on the floor and a 36% usage rate overall. He will continue to see 50 point games this season so we will continue to take advantage of this discount price. Especially with Isiah Thomas ruled out again.
Favorite Pairing
Pascal Siakam OVER 46 fantasy points: He coming off a ceiling game and has had one extra day rest than the rest of the NBA after getting the luxury of playing on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. That extra day’s rest is key to what should be another dominant performance against the Celtics. The Celtics will be without Kanter for two games so Siakam should be able to take advantage of this spot. Siakam grabbed 18 rebounds last game and will have another chance at double-digit rebounds with the Celtics being the worst rebounding team in the league with only a 41% rebounding percentage and now with be without Enes Kanter tonight. Siakam was averaging 40 fantasy points per 36 minutes and a 23% usage rate last year without Kawhi and Jonas but now is up to 62 fantasy points per 36 and a 35% usage rate. The most improved player of the year last year seems to have taken even more of a jump to start the year this year.
