What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.
If you are familiar with NBA DFS, you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. We still have a lot of injury news but here are currently the best value plays.
Terrence Mann $4500
The Clippers will not only be without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard tonight, but they will also be without Rajon Rondo and Reggie Jackson. This leaves a hole in the guard position for the Clippers. Without PG and Kawhi Mann averages a little over one DK point per minute. Without all the guards for the Clippers, Mann should easily see over 30 minutes tonight, leading to easily hitting value.
Mann gets a nice matchup tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies who play at the 8th highest pace in the league and allow the 9th most points per 100 possessions. There should be plenty of scoring opportunities in this game for everyone. Look for value on both sides of the court.
Xavier Tillman $4200:
On the other side of the floor, we have another amazing value play tonight. Tillman started for JoVal last game and was able to put up 45.0 DK points in 41 minutes! Obviously, that huge minute’s rate was due to a double-overtime game against the Nuggets, but he should still easily see over 30 minutes tonight. One rule I love to live by is eating the chalk value for big men. They are always in a position to get rebounds and in a paced-up game like the Clippers and Grizzlies should have tonight will lead to plenty of chances for him to reach that double-double bonus tonight.
