What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.
If you are familiar with NBA DFS you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Clippers Value:
The Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George tonight against the Detroit Pistons. They picked a great game to get some rest because the Piston have one of the worst rosters in the league; shown by the worst record in the Eastern Conference. This leaves us with tons of value plays from this Clippers team. Since I consider a value play $5000 or fewer in salary I will be skipping over Jackson, Morris, and Zubac and focusing on the cheaper options. Terrence Mann leads the way for value tonight on the Clippers. Whenever we have a slate without Paul George Mann becomes one of the top value plays on the slate, but now we get him without PG and Kawhi. Mann has two games this season where PG and Kawhi missed and he played 30 minutes. In both of those games, he hit 5x value and averaged 30 DK points in those games.
Jalen McDaniels:
McDaniels has yet to receive the full price bump he needs to get me to stop playing him. He has amassed 29 minutes in the last four games, correlated with the loss of Gordon Hayward. He also has at least 30 DK points in three of those four games as well, leading to just under a DK point per minute. Even against difficult teams, he has shown his DFS prowess. Now he gets an easy matchup against the Cavs who allow the 18th most DK points to PFs in the league.
