What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. If you haven’t signed up for core plays yet, make sure to do so by clicking here. We have daily, weekly, monthly, and season-long packages. You can try us out for as little as $5!
Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.
If you are familiar with NBA DFS you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Whether it is on the free side or the premium side there will always be people discussing injury news and how it has impacted the slate.
Also, make sure to check out our live odds on Bet Karma to stay up to date on how Vegas is projecting these games.
All plays are under $5000
Since there are only four games and most value is going to be based on Bradley Beal and Paul George news I will just add speculative value plays that will be confirmed good plays once we get the injury news we are looking for.
Wizards Value
With Bradley Beal Questionable for tonight’s game, this leaves an opportunity for plenty of value to be had in Washington. The Wizards will also be without Daniel Gafford, who was playing key backup center minutes for the Wizards until he got hurt in the fourth quarter.
Chandler Hutchison is slowly looking like one of my favorite value plays on the slate if Beal misses then just a GPP dart if Beal is in. In his first game with the Wizards Hutchison was able to play 18 straight minutes to finish the game in a close matchup against the Pacers last night. I assume he does not draw the start for the Wiz, which will keep his ownership down. I am sure if he ends up starting he will be chalky. He was mainly a scorer for them last night as Russ took every other start possible as he finished with 94 DK points. Hutchison finished the game with 25 minutes 18 points on 11 FGAs. He gets another easy matchup against the Hornets tonight.
Other Wizards I am considering if Beal misses: Alex Len (If starting), Deni Avdija, James Robinson (If starting), and Raul Neto.
Clippers Value
The Clippers will be without Rajon Rondo, Patrick Beverley, Serge Ibaka. Making the Clippers thin in both the frontcourt and the backcourt. Paul George is also questionable so we need to wait to get confirmation on PG before locking these players in.
Last night Luke Kennard drew the start for an injured PG. I am assuming he will get the start again if PG misses tonight as well. Kennard is cheap enough to not really think about the play as long as he draws the start again. This is a simple case of an increase in minutes means an increase in fantasy points. Jackson started the game but the Clippers leaned on Terrence Mann late in the second and fourth quarters. He played 34 minutes, while only playing two stints of 17 minutes straight each. It appears the Clippers have trust in Mann and he has proved it over the last two games, putting up 29+ DK points in both games.
