What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.
If you are familiar with NBA DFS, you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. All plays are under $5000
We have an interesting slate on our hands tonight. This is the first true huge slate after the trade deadline with most players playing that were involved in trades. This should make for a great slate!
Heat Value
The Heat are thin in the frontcourt. This leaves two guys on the Heat I am looking at tonight for value. Nemanja Bjeclica and Trevor Ariza stick-out are potential value plays on tonight’s slate. Bjelica is joining the Heat for the first time tonight after being traded from the Sacramento Kings. With the Heat being thin at the frontcourt Bjelica should slide into around 20 minutes tonight. I will be prioritizing the starter in the lineup tonight. Ariza has played 30+ minutes in the two games that he has started for the Heat and is averaging close to a DK point per minute as a starter. So if he continues to get the start you can continue playing him tonight.
Nerlans Noel $4800
The Knicks will be without Michell Robinson again tonight. They are also in jeopardy to lose Randle, who is questionable for tonight’s game games the Heat. If for some reason both miss tonight you can add Taj Gibson as a value play tonight on top of Noel. Robinson was hurt in the first quarter of the game two days ago against the Buck G-League team when they decided to rest every starter and key role player they had. We got knock off Antetokounmpo and a bunch of no-names.
Jerome Robinson $3000
Bradley Beal was just ruled out and we somehow got the starting lineup early so we know who is replacing him in the starting lineup. With Beal out of the lineup that is going to open up a ton of usage. Obviously, Russ is going to be chalk tonight, but this is a value article and there are only two Wizards over $5000 to choose from. So the rest of the lineup will consist of value players. As a starter, Robinson has at least 18 DK points in all three games this season. He is averaging 24 DK points on 27 minutes per game.
Another player that sticks out for potential value as a GPP play is Daniel Gafford for the Wizards. In his first game since the trade, he put up 13 points and 5 rebounds in 13 minutes of play. As the Wizards search for a replacement for Thomas Bryant as an interior defender Gafford may have earned himself value minutes moving forward.
