What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. In this article, I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price, and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.
If you are familiar with NBA DFS you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Since it is the last day before all-star break and everyone is questionable I formated my article a little differently tonight.
Clippers Value
The Clippers will be going up against the Washington Wizards tonight. This could lead to some amazing value plays if news lines up perfectly. Kawhi Leonard is questionable tonight, Paul George is not on the injury report BUT you never know with him, if he plays or not. Marcus Morris is also ruled out. The potential value added is Pat Beverely, Reggie Jackson, and Luke Kennard. Although, with Morris already ruled out, this should give a huge bump to Serge Ibaka. His value will increase even more if Kawhi is out.
Warriors Value:
The Warriors will be without Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Kelly Oubre is also questionable so the Warriors could be missing three key players in their lineup tonight. There are a couple of players that stick out based on that news. Eric Paschall, Brad Wannamaker, Juan Toscano Anderson, and Kent Bazemore. Damian Lee is also in play but is looking like an outsider looking in for usage. I always love Paschall’s ceiling without Curry and now without Green, he should see even more minutes. Toscano Anderson should fill Green and Looney’s role. Bazemore is coming off a 30-minute game, where he now should see similar minutes with an even higher usage rate. Then Wannamaker should slide into the starting PG role and see a ton of usage.
Knicks Value:
This is the only value play that we have actual news on. With Derrick Rose out this makes Immanuel Quickley a top value play. He will get a huge usage and minutes bump with Rose out. We saw him drop 41 DK points last game with Rose. The only other news we are waiting on is Elfrid Payton and Frank Ntilikina. If both players are ruled out Quickley becomes an even better play. As long as Payton is out Quickley will become a lock for me tonight.
