What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.
If you are familiar with NBA DFS, you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Khem Birch $4,700:
Birch has slid into the starting role nicely since Boucher is sidelined with a knee injury. He has seen 29+ minutes in both games Boucher has missed. He missed the 30-minute mark last slate due to a blowout in Cleveland but tonight gets a game against the Nets who are only 5 point favorites. Birch is averaging 0.9 DK points per minute since joining the Raptors a couple of weeks ago. Birch hasn’t flashed his efficiency yet only having a 12% rebounding percentage, which would rank him 35th among players who have played at least 25 minutes per game over that stretch. He makes up for it with his high minutes.
Tonight he gets a fantastic matchup against the Nets. What do we always say Bigs vs Brooklyn! The Nets are allowing the 8th most DK points to centers this season. Giving him plenty of double-double upside tonight. Averaging 0.9 DK points per minute he only needs 26 minutes to reach value in an average matchup but gets an elite matchup tonight. Expect him to easily hit value.
