Welcome back DFS grinders! Let me just start off by saying welcome welcome if you are new to the article and Karma. If you are a Showdown Throwdown reader or you are coming back from last year I thank you for the continued support it means a lot to me.
We have early season NBA so always start slow with your Bankroll don’t go all-in on the first week because rotations aren’t always known with every team. You can compare it to preseason and coach talk but it doesn’t always translate until we know for certain. If you play $100 per prop I would tone it down to $50 just for the first week. That being said let’s get right into it.
Favorite Play
I decided to switch up to MKF for the Weekend slate because I found a great play for you peeps.
Brandon Ingram OVER 29.5 fantasy points: Ingram has been amazing this year and especially with Lonzo on the floor his usage rate is even better. Ingram has a 29.6% usage rate this season. A 31% with Lonzo on the floor and a 19% usage rate with Lonzo off the floor. As long a Gentry doesn’t bench Lonzo in the second half again Ingram should easily pass 30 points with no problem. Ingram is coming off two huge scoring games and has back to back 40+ fantasy performances, I’m not really why he is this low. We are taking advantage of a miss pricing, BI isn’t the one you really have to worry about tonight, plus Holiday is out so that’s even more usage to go around.
Russell Westbrook OVER 51.5 fantasy points: This is the one I’m a little more worried about but I need to take advantage of BI being so badly projected. Westbrook is coming off a 60 point fantasy output last game but we can’t just rely on old outcomes to predict the future. Westbrook has a much better game environment. This should be a nice high paced matchup between two teams that will like to push the ball. Westbrook is ranked 4th in the league in potential assists (Harden ranks first) his assist numbers are bound to repeat themselves with these numbers. The triple double upside is still there, we were worried how well RWB would gel with Harden especially with the preseason production being down. When Harden is actually hitting his shot RWB assist should go way up as well. Westbrook’s rebounding upside is still extremely present as well.
