Joey’s Favorite NBA Monkey Knife Fight Props 12/05

I have some exciting news to announce today. Officially I will be switching off my DFS Showdown content and I will be focusing all my energy on getting my Monkey Knife Fight thoughts out to the public. This is a new article so I will be experimenting with some ideas to figure out the best way to inform the public on plays, while still giving the edge to us at Karma and joining our discord! Let me first start off by introducing myself, if you don’t already know me, I’m Joey your resident Prop Goat. I have basically fully transferred all my investment away from those huge DFS companies like Fanduel and Draftkings and I’m all in on Monkey Knife Fight. It was the best move I’ve made in my fantasy sports career and there really isn’t much turning back. I can’t get away from that GPP thrill so of course, I left money in DFS to ride out those GPP takedowns. Make sure you also check out me and Sam’s weekly Prop Party pod as well.

Make sure to check out Monkey Knife Fight projections built by Luke (NBA) (NFL) they are always great.

Top Plays

For this article in order to get more plays out to you guys, I’m going to break down one side of the prop and let y’all decide on the other side of the prop. This helps me get more exposure out to every game and this will make y’all think about the other side so you can grow as a prop player too. Instead of copying and pasting what I did. If you want the full prop hop in our discord for the full play.

Philly @ Washington

We have a potential blowout on our hands tonight in Washington even though Vegas doesn’t think so with it only being a 7 point spread. Even if this game does turn into a blowout; Center rebounds usually aren’t affected much because blowouts are caused normally by missed shots or turnovers. Missed shots lead to more rebounding opportunities which lead to easier props. Hell, even lazy Jokic grabbed 20 rebounds against them in 3 quarters, now imagine what Embiid could do. The Wizards are without Thomas Bryant for 3 more weeks and the status of Mo Wagner has not been decided. The Wizards might not have someone over 6 foot 8 on the floor at all this game. Without Bryant this year the Wizards drop from an already atrocious 49% rebounding percentage down to 44%, which would be worst in the league. The 76ers rank first in the league in rebounding percentage and with Embiid having an at least 4-inch height differential at all times on the floor I have little doubt that Embiid doesn’t hit this mark.

Denver @ New York

I’m surprised they have Payton in props. He has yet to play since October 28th (3rd game of the season). He is still questionable to play and even if he does play he might even be on a minutes limit. In Payton’s 3 games played this season he only went over this total once. Outside of game one he never really got anything going on the knicks and never saw more than an adjusted assist rate of 5. Against an extremely good defense and slow-paced team with a potential blowout risk and minutes limit this prop seems extremely straight forward to me.

Houston @ Toronto

Harden is coming off a huge 50 point loss, in a game that they did not count one of his fast-break dunks. While yes, that sucks and he should get over it because of other blatantly missed calls going in the Rockets favor towards the end of the game, Harden will not forget about this. Next possession he walked right down the court and drained a 3. Harden will be playing angry tonight and on top of that the Raptors grade out as one of the worst strip club cities in the league so you know Harden is going to play extra hard due to the lack of partying. He wasn’t able to blow off his steam at the strip club so he will need to blow it off on the court. Angry Harden will see 40 point upside.

Phoenix @ New Orleans

With Lonzo back in the lineup there is no reason for Jrue assists to be that high. Lonzo has been back for two games so far and Jrue has only had 4 assists in both games which are way below this prop. As well as checking out the history of them starting together Jrue has only gone over this prop 2 times over 10 games played. Per Rotogrinders courtIQ, with Jrue, Lonzo, and BI on the floor together since Lonzo has been back this week. Jrue is averaging 3 assists per 36 minutes. The Data Dashboard has him projected for 36.5 minutes so that should put him right around 3 assists for the game. Also per NBA.com/stats Jrue is averaging 10.5 potential assists which will put him around 5 assists on average, still well below this mark.
