That was an extremely successful first day, if I do say so myself. I was able to easily find green in cash and GPP’s and if you picked players from this article you probably did as well! If you did, please send me screenshots on Twitter @FrostyDFS. Now onto the next day of Yahoo NBA DFS. If you guys have not seen what Yahoo has been doing, they are investing a ton of money on their DFS platform and providing tons of overlay on NBA and NFL. If you don’t have an account I suggest you create one ASAP using the following link: http://dfsyahoo.com/
Thanks to John Wall this slate will be very chalky again with all of the Wizards value and paying up for Harden and AD/KD. However, I will add some pivots to the chalk if you want to get a little weird on GPP’s.
Point Guard
Top: At the very, very top we find Steph Curry for $45 in a good matchup against Portland. Last game they played each other and he had 50 Yahoo points despite both teams shooting horribly. While I love the over in this game, Curry is not where I am going for Point Guard. The most expensive PG that I will be considering today is Mike Conley for $28 against the Celtics. He is basically half the price of Curry and has similar upside (Unless we get the crazy shooting game from Curry).
Middle: In the middle we find Mudiay and Trae Young for $21 and $20 respectively. The Jazz have been very bad against the Guard position and Mudiay could exploit his matchup with Rubio ruled out. Trae gets a great matchup against other rookie PG Sexton.
Value: This is where you will find me today. Wall is out for the season and since Yahoo did not have those news, they kept Satoransky price at the minimum $10. If you are not playing Satoransky in cash games please avoid today’s slate. In GPPs I don’t mind his teammate Chesson RAndle or even Exum with Rubio out.
Shooting Guard
Top: Guess what is Bradley Beal price? Yup, $35 again. He crushed last night even with a slow start. He is a lock for Cash games. Speaking of locks, I just can’t see a lineup without James Harden $56 tonight. His usage rate without CP3 is 48%! I’d pay anything for that usage rate and to top it off he gets the Pelicans in a game with a huge total.
Middle: Kent Bazemore is totally underpriced at $21. I will have my shares of him in my utility spot and in some GPP’s where I fade Beal and/or Harden.
Value: At the bottom I absolutely love Burks $12 and Bradley for the minimum. Bradley continues to play around 30 minutes and is almost a lock for 2x. I wish I could roster more SG tonight (what a crazy thing to say).
Small Forward
Top: While I don’t love Curry tonight, I absolutely love Kevin Durant $48. It is hard to play him when Harden and AD are in smash spots but he is an amazing third to those two.
Middle: Trevor Ariza will be another of the Wizards that will benefit from Wall’s absence. He is coming of an off game which will get people off him.
Value: If Malik Beasley is out, Torrey Craig becomes my favorite under the radar option for tonight. He is the minimum price and with all the injuries the nuggets will need him to play 30+ minutes today.
Power Forward
Top: I absolutely love John Collins $34 against the Cavs. Dedmond has already been ruled out and Alex Len, well, he is Alex Len. I am expecting a lot of Collins/Nance at the 5 in this game. Yes please.
Middle: Jaren Jackson Jr. is in a great spot against the Celtics at basically 0% ownership.
Value: “The value PF is lead by the Trick-or-Treat captain, Mr. Jeff Green. I have always hate rostering him. You don’t know if he is getting you 40 points, or 5 points. However; he gets a great matchup with no Porter and no Morris and he is only $12. Roster him and be prepared for the wild ride.” Serendipity status from last night. We got an ok performance from him last night, today he might explode. If you are not able to do this to yourself again, I really like Mason Plumlee for the same price.
Center
Top: Today my favorite top play is Mr. “headed to the locker room” Anthony ‘Glass’ Davis. I absolutely love him today and I am glad there is enough value to pay up for him.
Middle: If you want to save $26 off Davis, both Capela and Gobert are strongly in consideration. Gobert is going to eat the Knicks alive.
Value: I can’t believe yesterday it went over my head to write about Thomas Bryant $11. He is in the same smash spot as yesterday with no Wall. Staple of cash lineups.
