Point Guard
Top: Russell Westbrook $52 continues to struggle shooting the ball BUT he still putting MONSTER games with over 50 yahoo points. If you are able to afford him you can never go wrong with Russ. As a pivot off him, and for a huge discount, Damian Lillard $38 should also be strongly considered.
Middle: This might sound a little crazy, especially because he is coming off a 2.1 fantasy points game where he played 28 minutes! BUT, Mike Conley $26 is totally mispriced in a good matchup against the Nets. He is GTD but, we should have news before lock. If you don’t like getting so risky, Lonzo for $26 or D-Lo for $27 are also good plays. (D-Lo gets a huge bump if Conley is ruled out).
Value: While Satoransky and Rozier are amazing value plays at $17, if you truly want a value play, Dennis Smith Jr. is still only $11! Wow. He showed his ceiling with a 3x game but honestly I think he could have a 4x ceiling if he goes back to last season DSJ. Another big mispriced value guard is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who gets a matchup against the Suns and is only $10.
Shooting Guard
Top: Bradley Beal $43 is arriving the ‘no thank you’ price range for me. While he is still viable, I would much rather take the $9 savings and pay for Victor Oladipo who gets a cake matchup against the Bulls.
Middle: We probably won’t get Kyle Kuzma news before lock, but he missed shootaround and that is not a good sign. If he does miss Brandon Ingram $23 becomes the first player in all of my lineups. He gets a huge bump with LBJ out, and without Kuzma he might go for 3x tonight. I could also consider Wiggins with no Covington, and Sweet Lou v the Suns.
Value: Josh Hart $16 becomes another lock if Kuzma gets ruled out. Hart put a massive 39 point game while having a horrible shooting night. while he probably will never get 15 rebounds again in his life, he will have a better shooting night which will balance each other. Lance is also in play for the minimum if Kuzma gets ruled out.
Small Forward
Top: I don’t think I am paying $50 for PG13 today, so my next best available will be Luka Doncic for $33. I don’t think this is the position I will be paying up for today.
Middle: Knox and Kyle Anderson are two interesting options that I could see myself playing for $20. The only issue I have with either is that they probably won’t get you a GPP takedown ceiling game, but their floor is very secured for cash games.
Value: My favorite value play of this slate is Rodney Hood $11. The Cavs are dying for some scoring and Hood can provide that. Of course it helps a little that this is a #RevengeGame as well.
Power Forward
Top: Giannis Antetokounmpo comes with a massive $55 price tag in an absolute smash spot against the Hawks. My only concern is that how much Giannis are they going to need today. Especially with a game against the Raptors tomorrow. If you don’t want to spend all your money on ABC, Tobias Harris $28 is also in an amazing matchup against the Suns. Last time he visited the suns, he put up a 50 burger.
Middle: Noah Vonleh continues putting up great numbers for the Knicks and now he gets a matchup against the Lakers. I love Vonleh tonight especially as a late hammer type of player with reduced ownership.
Value: I absolutely love Kelly Olynyk $11 against the Wizards today. I know he comes off the bench, but the Wizards used Jeff Green as a 5 last game. Olynyk could totally destroy that matchup and he could have a 3x night for a very low ownership.
Center
Top: Center is rapidly becoming the most important position for DFS purposes. While a lot of people will chase Nurkic monster game, I am actually going to stay away. I am also probably staying away from KAT v Vuc (Even though I absolutely love both) and instead play Marc Gasol $29 against the Brooklyn Nets. If Conley gets ruled out, Gasol becomes my #1 plate in the slate.
Middle: There are two extremely interesting options in the middle but I consider them more GPP viable. DJ and Whiteside are $24 and $25 and they both get an amazing matchup and they could potentially explode for huge ceilings. I will have a lineup with both of them in my GPP.
Value: Our boy Thomas Bryant is now all the way up to $20. We have been riding him every day since he was $10 and I don’t think this is the time to stop. If you want cheaper, I have no problem going to Brook Lopez, or Kornet if you need even more savings.
